DRY STONE WALLING COURSE: TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking & Payment
Full payment of £200 per person is required to secure your place. Places are limited to 12 per course and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
 

Cancellation by You
More than 28 days before the course: full refund minus £20 administration fee. 14–28 days before the course: 50% refund if your place is refilled. Less than 14 days before the course: no refund.
 

Cancellation by Us
If fewer than 4 participants have booked, we may offer an alternative date or a full refund - your choice. If dangerous weather makes the course unsafe, we will reschedule and your booking carries over or is refunded in full. A bit of rain doesn't stop a walling course.
 

Health & Fitness
Dry stone walling is physical outdoor work involving lifting, bending, and handling stone. You must declare any medical conditions, injuries, or mobility issues that may affect your ability to participate safely. We reserve the right to limit participation if we believe there is a risk to your safety or that of others.
 

Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that dry stone walling involves inherent physical risks including but not limited to muscle strain, cuts, bruises, and eye injury from stone fragments. All reasonable safety measures are taken, including provision of eye protection and a site safety briefing. By booking, you accept these risks.
 

What We Provide
All stone, tools, eye protection, tea, coffee, drinking water and a toilet on site. No prior experience is required.
 

What You Must Bring
Sturdy boots (steel toe caps ideal), outdoor clothing suitable for the weather including layers and waterproofs, packed lunch, water, hat and sun cream. Work gloves if you have a pair you like - we'll have spares either way. A full kit list is provided in your joining instructions.
 

Photography
We may photograph or film during the course for use on our website and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed, let us know on the day.
 

Minimum Age
Participants must be 18 or over. Under-18s may attend with a parent or guardian present, who must sign the health declaration on their behalf.
